Senior Manager PMO - Corporate

JOB ROLE 

We are looking for a Senior Manager responsible for managing the program across assigned set of Functions including coordination and facilitation across initiatives and functional units and ensuring adequate time tracking and reporting on progress. The Senior Manager will establish frameworks for managing initiatives based on best-demonstrated practices.

GENERAL ACTIVITIES

  • Serve as the primary communication link between PMO and Leadership Team
  • Act as the primary agent of change to ensure the full value of corporate and functional initiatives is captured
  • Lead program/project teams to develop and gain approval of project plans, which outline the objectives, scope of work, and project elements, including scheduling, project deliverables, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing staff requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects
  • Prioritize corporate level and functional initiatives that are on the critical path for successful launch of a new business, and facilitate resolution of bottlenecks
  • Track progress of project plans delivery, update project status in a project management tool
  • Establish reporting priorities and report implementation progress to Leadership Team
  • Anticipates potential budget/resources concerns and takes action to avoid issues
  • Resolve issues driving key initiatives off-track; escalate to Leadership Team as needed
  • Identify desired support levels to the organization and initiate appropriate staffing of PMO
  • Establish and enforce new Program approval and launch process
  • Manage cross-functional initiative interdependencies including the identification of opportunities for synergies and cost savings
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at the local, regional, and international levels to support implementation of innovation/disruption strategies
  • Act as a thought partner to the functional leadership in problem-solving
  • Coaches Project Managers and junior team members in the team on best-demonstrated practices
  • Responsible for career development, performance management and performance review process for Project Managers and junior team members

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS 

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience with project management concepts and methodologies, project management tools and professional experience in project and portfolio management at a senior level
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience at a managerial level
  • Experience in aviation (airlines, airports, OEMs, national aviation authorities, etc.) is an advantage
  • Experience in Big-4 or other management consulting firms is a major advantage

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Project Management, or any related field
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Project Management, or any related field is an advantage
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a major advantage
