Regional Commercial Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead Sales functions and ensure all the activities in the region are aligned with the company’s mission, strategic objectives, policies and meet all legal, Governmental and other requirements and regulations.

Steer implementation of new modern distribution framework in hub administratively managing and leading Sales function and overseeing the other support functions. Responsible to deliver the region budget, increase market share and revenues, providing highest quality of customer service. Incumbent will act as the central point of liaison with concerned management and stake-holders in the Head office and use and promote the sales force automation tools in managing the regional n activities. Represent Riyadh Air as the senior executive in the region as far as sales are concerned.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·         Responsible for effective commercial operations and sales operations of the region ensuring the functions of the region implementing state of the art distribution framework driving quality revenue for Riyadh Air

 

·         While being compliant with all Company applicable policies and procedures, manage the region budget and all resources to ensure optimum utilization, control items of expenditure to pre-determine budgetary levels by maintaining a strict cost control policy, in particular sales incentive costs of travel agents, training and manpower development.

 

·         Identify, appoint, manage, steer Distribution & Sales Partners (GSA), wherever required in line with laid out principles in coordination with HQ team

 

·         Responsible to improve and drive market share through dedicated or DSP dedicated team with a singular focus on high yield segments driving premium revenue and digital channel growth.

 

·         Develop, recommend, implement and monitor the Regional Sales Plan including business priorities, revenue and cost of sales target and Key Performance Indicators for all commercial activity.

 

·         Riyadh Air brand value champion in the area or country of responsibility through all sales and marketing activities, especially promotions and those with media involvement, to ensure strong visibility / communication is maintained within the assigned region.

 

·         Monitor progress against revenue and targets, analyze and comment on the monthly traffic / revenue reports and recommend and implement any changes to existing plans and operating budgets.

 

·         Liaise with Sales Development team and identify, review and recommend changes to tariffs or schedules that could improve the area performance.

 

 

·         Be commercially astute of any/all issues affecting regional performance including competitor’s activities that could ultimately affect Riyadh Air business.

 

·         Represent Riyadh Air as the Senior Executive in the region when interfacing or negotiating with Government, Travel Agents, as far as sales function in concerned.

·         Team Player leading by demonstrating shared goals and values. Source of  leadership guidance and support to all staff in the region. Enable the functional heads in the region to ensure staffs are recruited, trained and motivated to the standards set in the People KPI by recognizing performance. Provide, where appropriate, a succession plan for the station.

 

·         Authorized to steer and sign all contracts/ agreements for the region within the stipulated guidelines in accordance with Riyadh Air policies

 

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

·     Minimum 12 years’ experience in the field of sales and marketing of which at least 5 years had been in management and supervisory capacity as Country/ Territory or Regional Manager. The jobholder should have adequate background in major airline business processes and knowledge of modern distribution technology. Exposure in implementation of modern Retailing will be an added advantage

 

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·     Educated to degree level or equivalent preferably in areas of business. Master’s/ Post Graduate Diploma qualification is desirable.

 

SKILLS:

·       Must have sound knowledge of modern retailing techniques with proven excellent people management and motivational skills, high level of entrepreneurial skill, resilient and culturally sensitive with high communication and motivational ability.

·        

·       Must be able to create strong partnering relationships at a senior level with internal and external contacts, including heads of governments, airlines and business associates.

 

·       Clarity of thought process, focused on delivering results , detailed eye for analytics and time management

 

 

 

LANGUAGES:

·       English language proficiency is a must, knowledge of other languages is important based on location
