Learning and Development Manager - Saudi Nationals Only

JOB PURPOSE:

The L&D Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all learning and development programs and initiatives for the company's employees as well as collaborating with various departments to identify training needs, developing training strategies, and ensuring the continuous development and growth of employees. The role involves ensuring the continuous improvement of employee skills, knowledge, and competencies within the unique context of the aviation industry as well as creating and implementing training programs that comply with industry regulations, enhancing safety standards, and aligning with the organization's goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities within the organization.
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR to gather input and align training initiatives with business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and deliver a variety of training programs, including onboarding, technical skills, leadership development, and soft skills training.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning materials, such as presentations, e-learning modules, videos, and job aids.
  • Analyze training data and feedback to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations for training programs.
  • Explore and recommend innovative e-learning platforms and technologies suitable for a startup environment.
  • Implement e-learning platforms and technology to enhance training accessibility for employees across different locations.
  • Integrate multimedia and interactive elements into online training modules.
  • Establish methods for assessing the performance and effectiveness of training programs.
  • Conduct regular evaluations to measure the impact of training on job performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with aviation regulatory bodies, industry associations, and internal stakeholders to align training initiatives with industry standards.
  • Work closely with aviation professionals to ensure the relevance and accuracy of training content.
  • Stay abreast of aviation regulations, certifications, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement training programs that comply with aviation authorities' requirements.
  • Design and oversee safety training programs for various job roles within the aviation company.
  • Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to ensure training materials reflect the latest safety protocols.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a learning and development role, preferably in the aviation industry or a related field.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering effective training programs and initiatives.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of learning and development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong instructional design and content development skills.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of learning and development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team and cross-functional settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
